I am Josh, a professional music producer, songwriter, music-business co-founder and educator based in Perth (Boorloo), Western Australia.
I am an active industry professional with a music catalogue that has generated over 80 million global streams. I also co-founded an instrumentals/beats business generating $300K in revenue to date.
Alongside my professional music career, I have seven years of experience in teaching and supporting students in various educational fields.
Furthermore, I hold a Bachelor Degree in Sound Engineering and Marketing from Murdoch University and was invited to guest lecture there on my success in the industry.
I am looking to bring my active industry experience into the tertiary education space as a sessional lecturer or tutor, helping emerging artists and producers develop the creative, technical and professional skills required to succeed in the contemporary music industry.
With experience spanning K-pop, EDM and alternative/indie music, I can provide practical industry-focused teaching across songwriting, music production, mixing and mastering, vocal production and sound design. I am also well-versed in networking, collaboration and the registration of royalties.
My approach is grounded in the realities of working music professionals — connecting creative development and technical proficiency with the entrepreneurial business world, industry and professional skills needed to turn music into a sustainable career in an ever-evolving industry.
